Life, Marriage, and Random Thoughts

I want to send everyone a ‘hello’ in the blogging world and provide you with a quick update on the state of life for Mark Stubblefield and His bride to be, my beloved Amy.

As I mentioned in my previous post, we now have a date set on June 10th., and we are both anticipating and patiently waiting for the time of our glorious wedding celebration. There is much preparation going on in our lives as we both talk through the many details of the wedding, Amy prepares the details of the wedding at its location in Fort Worth, and I remain very busy with my consulting work here in Missouri.

It is a wonderful time, a very unique time, and one that we will both never forget. I try to bask in every moment of our engagement, as I know how special it is, and how wonderful my bride to be is to my life. I am mentally trying to remember every detail, and will document it for future generations to remember. (This combined with being extremely busy, perhaps the busiest I have ever been in my life, is the main reason there is a severe lack of blogging :) Though, Amy and I both intend to remedy that in the years to come.)

It is amazing what the Lord can do in two lives within the short time span of only five and a half months. Through the process of our courtship, engagement, and soon to be marriage, the Lord has continued to show His grace to both of us as we strive to honor Him in our relationship together. Through this entire process, it has been, and continues to be, about something more than our own wants or desires to be married to one another. Our relationship has been about how we might use our future household for the glory of our heavenly father in service to His Son. With this focus as paramount, it has allowed Amy and I to work through the many often tedious and potentially dangerous emotional pitfalls that can befall the courtship process. I am truly a grateful man, and very humbled that the Lord continues to allow our hearts to be knit closely together as we knit our hearts to our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be the Lord. Psalms 112 has been on my mind in the process of both our courtship and engagement, and it is my hearts desire that I will be a man that fears the Lord, and that through our marriage many generations will be mighty warriors on the earth for the glory of our Heavenly Father.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. -- Pslalms 112: 1-2

Happy Birthday, Sis!

I want to send a happy birthday greeting to my dear sister, Christie. Christie is a dear lady, a wonderful wife, mother, and woman of the Lord. I am grateful to have her as my sister. She has always been an example of godly womanhood. Happy birthday, sis!

(sorry, I don’t have any pictures of Christie on the computer.)
