A New Member of the Family

I am very pleased to report that I am the proud uncle of a new niece. At 3:11 AM on Wednesday morning, Olivia Grace Anne Thompson was born to my dear sister Cherie and brother-in-law, Mark. Congratulations Mark and Cherie. Praise the Lord for new life!

With the new birth of Olivia to Cherie, and the recent announcement from my sister Christie that her family has another little blessing on the way, I have crossed that threshold of numbers that every uncle dreams of crossing -- double digits. I am now an uncle ten times over. Praise the Lord for His little blessings!

Forty Years of Faithfulness

This is a very special post for me as today is the fortieth wedding anniversary of my beloved parents. For forty years my parents have been faithful to each other, and have modeled honor and respect in their loving relationship.

They have been an exemplary testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ in my life, and I am truly a blessed son to have parents that show forth Christ in their marriage relationship. It is an example to me as I prepare to be married, and it will serve as an example for many generations to come. Praise be the Lord for such an example.

Happy Anniversary, dad and mom!

Life is Busy

I want to send a quick “hello” to everyone out there in the world of blogging. My life has been very busy as of late. Preparing to marry the love of my life, Amy, steadily growing my consulting group, participating in fellowship and communication with other believers over the possibility of an assembly forming in Southwest Missouri, and being very grateful to the Lord for how much He has blessed me – though I am very undeserving of his blessing.

I am a very grateful man. I am also a very busy man, and because of this my blogging will most likely remain limited in the coming months. I do have plans to do some fairly unique things related to the Internet, to properly take advantage of the powerful medium the Internet offers for God honoring communication. This will be a little ways away. So, for now you’re going to get the interspersed version of Mark’s life. To quote an anonymous source: “Its better to live it than to just blog about living it.”
