I find it interesting that you call yourself a HUSBAND-to-be but Any a BRIDE-to-be and not a WIFE-to-be....surely being a wife which is an eternal committment is more important that being a bride which is just one day....
Ahh, but you are wrong anonymous, she will forever be my bride and my wife. The scripture references the church as the bride of Christ, not the wife of Christ, and yet we are eternally His bride, not just for a season. It implies an unfading aspect of my love for Amy, which will be eternal in Christ. I use that word quite deliberately and will for the entirety of our marriage.
If you question it, then perhaps you should refrain from commenting on my blog.
Mark, I appreciate the fact that she is and always will be your BRIDE. That is a wonderful testimony to your devotion to her as well as your committment to Christ. Thank you for the testimony that you put forth on your blog.
My last comment got deleted? Thanks for answering my queston and clarifying that for me. I guess for me it is more importnat to be a wife than a bride. I liked hearing your explanation
Congratulations Cousin Mark on your engagement! Marriage is one of God's most blessed and sacred of sacraments. May your marriage be full of God's many blessings!!
This is random but my last name is Stubblefield (I did a search for stubblefield on blogspot) and My grandpa was from South East Missouri. From your blog I get the feeling you're from near there. Do you know anything about where your ancestors came from? I'm trying to figure mine out. I think the furthest back I have is James S. Stubblefield born in 1845 in IL but he lived a lot of his live in South East MO and North East Arkansas. email me at stubblefields@gmail.com if these are ancestors of yours also.
I was just wondering if those were end of the year lights...
